Connect Community Trust
Connect Community Trust was established in 2003 and since then has established and operate a wide range of services and activities within 4 community facilities and allotments in the Greater Easterhouse area of Glasgow. Services and activities within these facilities provide help, support, training, fun and social interaction for all ages in the community. Community empowerment is at the heart of the organisation, local people leading, participating and developing all of the services.
Glasgow Tool Library
The Glasgow Tool Library works like a normal library, but instead of sharing books we share tools. We collect donations of tools from those that no longer use them, repair and care for them, and make them accessible to everyone though an annual membership. We also hold classes, workshops and events that teach a range of craft, DIY and sustainability skills and knowledge. Our aim is to promote sharing, collaboration and making as forms of resistance, empowerment and resilience.
Glasgow Wood Recycling
Glasgow Wood Recycling, established in 2006, is an innovative social enterprise, committed to diverting wood waste from landfill and making Glasgow a greener and cleaner city.
Impact Arts (Projects) Ltd
Established in 1994, Impact Arts is a national arts organisation which uses the arts and creativity to enable and empower social change.
Jangling Space
We are a cooperative that seeks to connect people by engaging them in making beautiful things. Our tangible products have meaning - made from glass and ceramics – they link back to an older Glasgow.
