The Whiteinch Centre Ltd (TWC) is a vibrant community hub
dedicated to improving lives through a variety of services and activities.
At TWC, our key objectives are to maintain a sustainable
social facility led by the local community and offer learning, training, and
employability opportunities for people from North West Glasgow and beyond. TWC
was purpose-built in 2006 in response to community aspirations and the need for
a local hub that fosters inclusion, connection, and engagement. We aim to
enable community involvement through volunteering, support local health and
wellbeing by providing diverse activities and services, improve access to
affordable, nutritious food, and promote community engagement to empower
residents to feel invested in their area.
We celebrate the strengths, aspirations, and potential of
local people. By offering a range of activities and opportunities for personal and social development, we foster resilience and encourage healthy contributions to
society. Embracing a strengths-based ethos, we recognise and build upon
existing talents and resources within the community.
Where gaps exist, we seek to find services to fill them,
working in partnership wherever possible. We ensure that the community's voices have a platform to shape the development and delivery of services and
activities as we move forward.
TWC is committed to creating a sustainable community hub
that contributes to a sustainable and thriving community.
