Music Broth

Music Broth is the loudest library in Scotland and we know that access to music and music learning has demonstrable benefit across many areas of life; education, community development, mental health and well-being. We aim to improve access to musical instruments and equipment for everyone by removing barriers to, and creating more opportunities for, accessing music learning and playing through our unique shared resource. Our membership scheme offers an affordable alternative for individuals (�60 p/y; �6 p/m), bands/families (�120 p/y; �12 p/m) and organisations (from �200) Our Mission is to create opportunities for individuals, bands and organisations to pursue their musical ventures whatever they may be. Our library brings people together, increase people’s sense of self-efficacy in music playing other skills learning, offer high quality instrument repair and maintenance and instil positive strategies to improve mental health and well-being. We will increase use and instil value back into second-hand, unused musical instruments aim to collect in 1000+ musical instruments and equipment into our community library. We will increase knowledge and skills in music and instrument repair by delivering learning workshops. We will reduce waste and carbon footprint of the music scene, saving equipment from landfill, reducing purchase of new equipment with associated embodied carbon, and developing a low carbon mode of transportation.
