Hame-ish Arts was co-founded as an incorporated Community Interest Company (CIC) in August 2023 by Mairi-Claire Traynor (CEO) and Ed Ritchie (COO). Shows and workshops under this incorporated model will run from 2024 onwards. Hame-ish shows feature music, poetry, spoken word and comedy performances and invite audiences to a night out that feels like a night in. There are two types of show offered, Hame-ish curated shows and Hame-ish cabarets. Both lean into the Scottish ceilidh tradition with acts taking turns to perform rather than sharing their work via a conventional series of sets. This helps to create a natural flow between pieces and a sense of collective ownership of the end-to-end show. Hame-ish Arts deliver public shows and would be delighted to collaborate with partners to create bespoke shows for events, festivals and private functions. Hame-ish Arts also offer workshops including for poetry writing and offering a introduction to clowning. Please contact us to discuss requirements.
