African Challenge ScotlandAfrican Challenge Scotland is an organisation which is Scotland wide and based in Glasgow it helps build more successful integrated communities, relieve poverty, advance education and promote cultural and sporting links between African's and Scottish population. Common WheelCommon Wheel supports people with mental illness by providing meaningful activities. We have three projects. Our bike project supports people in repairing and recycling old bikes into 'good as new' bikes for our clients to ride away and keep. Long term bike project participants support our Bike Engineers in repairing and customising bikes for sale to the general public, this is the social enterprise part of the project. Govanhill Baths Community Trust/Rags to RichesGovanhill Baths Community Trust’s goal is to re-open the baths as a Wellbeing Centre and at the same time contribute to the wider social, cultural and built regeneration of Govanhill as a community through a range of activities. Impact Arts (Projects) LtdEstablished in 1994, Impact Arts is a national arts organisation which uses the arts and creativity to enable and empower social change. Jangling SpaceWe are a cooperative that seeks to connect people by engaging them in making beautiful things. Our tangible products have meaning - made from glass and ceramics – they link back to an older Glasgow. Knightswood Community ScioKnightswood Community SCIO (SCIO) manages and operates Knightswood Community Centre (KCC) for and on behalf of the people of Knightswood. It works to strengthen Knightswood sense of community through the provision and programming of affordable and social, cultural, recreational, educational, and health and fitness services and facilities. Its goal is for Knightswood Community Centre to be clearly identified and truly recognised as the centre of the community in Knightswood. Make Do and Grow CICMake Do and Grow is based in Govan and focussed on supporting growing families, developing creativity and encouraging re-use. Maryhill Burgh Halls TrustMaryhill Burgh Halls Trust owns and manages the Burgh Halls. We are a registered Scottish Charity and Company limited by guarantee. Any profits we make go back into running and maintaining the Burgh Halls building for future generations. Mrs Magooty CICMrs Magooty has been in existence as a pop up and online bead shop for over 11 years, running an annual beadwork retreat which is now in it's tenth year. Open Aye c.i.cOpen Aye is a social enterprise which provides visual imaging and participatory projects for the third sector. Open Aye specialises in the co-creation of imagery, for social change in Scotland. We create communications and experiences, which have a positive social impact on communities and the environment. Possobilities/Cook'nCareWorking from a purpose built Centre in Possilpark we offer a wide range of services to vulnerable/disabled people in Glasgow. Project AbilityProject Ability is a visual arts organisation which supports children and adults with disabilities and people in recovery from mental ill health to develop their creative skills and achieve artistic success. Re:Craft Glasgow CICRe:Craft is an arts and crafts materials reuse and recycling shop. We accept donations of second hand, part used arts and crafts materials , inclluding beads and buttons, fabric, wool and paint. We also take dry recycling items such as wine corks, cardboard tubes, tin cans, etc. See Think MakeSee Think Make is the development and training agency for Arts Award in Scotland, working with Trinity College London. The GalGael TrustGalGael carve out ways of living with more humanity - standing with those most negatively affected by our current economic system. Hands-on projects create opportunities to work together on demanding common tasks that generate community. These projects involve craft and making of various forms, such as boatbuilding, furniture making and timber milling. The Senior Centre - CastlemilkThe Senior Centre considers itself a 'youth club for the over 55s' and our main objective is to offer and promote social opportunities for the residents of Castlemilk and its surrounding areas. We aim to ensure that more independent older adults within the community can continue to live at home and improve their social connections and relationships with their peers. The Village Storytelling CentreThe Village Storytelling Centre is all about people and language. We recognise that talking and listening allow us to share and learn from each other. Good storytelling is about relationships, it is about making connections between people. The Womens Centre Glasgow Wasps StudiosWasps Studios provides affordable studio space for visual artists and arts charities at 19 buildings across Scotland. Whiteinch Centre LtdThe Whiteinch Community Centre was developed in response to the local need for an affordable, modern community facility. The Centre has been operating for over 12 years and is owned by Whiteinch Community Association (WCA) on behalf of the local community. Workforce CreationWe are a digital business support business with an all inclusive approach. We provide an environment where our participants can become full included and more independent through our projects.
