Castlemilk Relaxation CentreWe provide a range of flexible Stress Management Services to Castlemilk & many surrounding areas tailored to the needs of individuals and groups. Common WheelCommon Wheel supports people with mental illness by providing meaningful activities. We have three projects. Our bike project supports people in repairing and recycling old bikes into 'good as new' bikes for our clients to ride away and keep. Long term bike project participants support our Bike Engineers in repairing and customising bikes for sale to the general public, this is the social enterprise part of the project. Community RenewalCommunity Renewal works to transform communities by engaging and supporting people to get involved in community activity and to improve health, learning and employment. COPE ScotlandWorking collectively and collaboratively; including with the voices of lived experience, we seek to co design interventions which can help find ways to manage the daily issues and challenges of life; which can cause mental and emotional distress, and to share what we have learned with others to adopt and adapt for their own use. Good Morning ServiceGood Morning Service's telephone befriending and alert service is both life-saving and life-enhancing. Older people are connected, safer and valued – 365 days a year. Govanhill Baths Community Trust/Rags to RichesGovanhill Baths Community Trust’s goal is to re-open the baths as a Wellbeing Centre and at the same time contribute to the wider social, cultural and built regeneration of Govanhill as a community through a range of activities. LifelinkLifelink has operated across Glasgow for 25 years supporting individuals who have mild to moderate mental health issues, for example stress, anxiety, depression, relationship issues or overall low mood. It provides a range of services including one to one counselling, personal development workshops and training. Services are aimed at young people age 11-18 and adults age 16+. Our community and school based counselling services are generally free to individuals living in Glasgow City. Lingo Flamingo CICThere is a growing body of evidence to suggest that speaking multiple languages can delay the onset of Dementia by up to 5 years. More generally, learning a foreign language benefits the brain in other ways, by increasing reading comprehension, logic and mathematical skills, and memory and decision making skills. Project AbilityProject Ability is a visual arts organisation which supports children and adults with disabilities and people in recovery from mental ill health to develop their creative skills and achieve artistic success. Remake UpReMake Up is a social business with a conscience, which uses the profits from its beauty business to invest back into helping people, by offering free permanent makeup services to cancer patients, alopecia sufferers, victims of scars and burns. South West Community CyclesSWCC aims to help relieve poverty, improve the health and education of local people and protect the local environment through the provision of affordable bike related services and activities. The Food TrainFood Train is a registered charity, voluntary organisation and social enterprise providing vital support services to enable older people to live independently at home for as long as possible. The No.1 Befriending AgencyThe No.1 Befriending Agency is a social enterprise registered as a Community Interest Company (CIC) dedicated to valuing the person. No matter what age, size or shade you are! The SparkThe Spark is a well-established (over 50 years old) charity and social enterprise. Working in partnership we provide relationship counselling, support services, information and education to children, young people, individuals, couples, parents and families. We use an early intervention and prevention approach to help develop resilience and reduce the destructive impact of conflict where this is present in a relationship. The Village Storytelling CentreThe Village Storytelling Centre is all about people and language. We recognise that talking and listening allow us to share and learn from each other. Good storytelling is about relationships, it is about making connections between people. Theatre NemoTheatre Nemo is set up to give a voice to social issues, especially mental health. We do this through the arts. Theatre Nemo plays a valuable part in the lives of those it has touched. We actively encourage people with mental health issues and carers to take part.
