Tender Alert: Glasgow City Council Criminal Justice Framework

Glasgow City Council has published a tender opportunity for
its Criminal Justice Framework. The main aim of the framework is to support
Glasgow City Council to meet its statutory obligations in making Glasgow a
stronger and safer community.
The framework will consist of the following 6 lots (with a
total value of £750,000 over 3 years):
- Community Sentencing – primarily Community Payback
Orders which include offender supervision, unpaid work or other activity
- Accommodation with Support – the council are looking to
make use of 5 places, with the provider having the option of providing an
additional 2 places to the Scottish Prison Service for home release or to
other local authorities
- Tenancy Sustainment – 60 temporary furnished flats
(currently provided by GHA and City Property). Staff must be trained to
provide high quality flexible support outreach support to service users
may have a range of support needs
- Criminal Justice Community Support Service – a
mentoring/throughcare service to individuals within the community as well
as those transitioning from prison into their community
- Specialist Services – intense support required for high
risk offenders with additional support needs, including mental health,
learning disabilities. Arranged as and when required.
- Purchased Criminal Justice Services in the Community –
occasionally funding may become available for community based initiatives
to help reduce reoffending or promote pro-social behaviour. Only providers
who apply for this lot can be considered as suppliers of services not
included in lots 1-5 for the duration for the framework.
