Independent Living Fund - Increase in Age Range

Are you aged 16-25, and living with a disability / additional support need in Scotland?

You could be eligible for up to £7,500 in funding from ILF Scotland’s Transition Fund!

ILF can support you to try new activities, gain new experiences, improve your independence, build your confidence, help you to spend more time with other people.

To be eligible to apply to the Fund you need to;

  • Be between the ages of 16 and 25 (you can apply at 15);
  • Have lived in Scotland for the last 6 months;
  • Have an impairment or disability (including additional support needs at school);
  • Have less than £26,250 of personal savings

They have had lots of young people apply with some inspiring and creative ideas. Examples include musical instruments / music lessons, photography classes / cameras / mobile phones, make-up courses, DJ equipment, gym memberships / gym clothes, karate classes, driving lessons, sports equipment, laptops, iPads and much more. There is no deadline or closing date for the Transition Fund.
