We were delighted to see so many Glasgow Schools take part recently in a special edition of The Big Issue, distributed by young people. The edition was released in March, and was widely covered in the media. You can see some of the coverage below.
GSEN have been proud to support a Schools Dragons’ Den over the past few years, in partnership with Education Services, GCC and Social Enterprise Academy. This project brings Glasgow primary and secondary school pupils together to pitch their social enterprise idea to a panel and an audience of peers, at an event held in the city chambers.
GSEN support to this event includes a social entrepreneur from the network acting as one of the ‘dragons’, sponsorship of a small prize for the winners, to invest in the development of their idea and a trophy hand made by a social enterprise. You can see a short video of this year’s event here.
We continue to be inspired by Glasgow’s young people and honoured to have played a part in their social enterprise development. Well done everyone!
