A sports hall in Easterhouse, a disused mill in John O’Groats, an area of amenity land in Strathpeffer and a stretch of foreshore on the Isle of Skye will soon be in the hands of local people as four community groups receive financial support from the Scottish Land Fund.
Merry-go-round opened its doors in April 2012, with the aim of supporting local families. They wanted to create a welcoming space where families could source high quality pre-used baby and children's goods that wouldn't cost the earth. They wanted to create a community hub where families could come together. And they wanted to provide free packs of essential items to families who needed a little extra help.
