Film Access Scotland, a consortium
of leading moving image and media access organisations, are seeking to recruit
a Director to support the membership to deliver its ambitious Strategic Plan.
Film Access Scotland was founded in November 2013 to facilitate consultation and representation at strategic level and to ensure that the film access sector receives the recognition and resources it needs to deliver film access and participation for all. Diversity, inclusion, opportunity and creativity are at the heart of all Film Access Scotland organisations. The current members are GMAC Film, Screen Education Edinburgh (SEE), Station House Media Unit (SHMU), Voice of My Own (VOMO), Media Education and Plantation Productions.
2018 the consortium underwent a development process resulting in the 2019/21
Strategy and Action Plan and, having secured funding from Creative Scotland for
a two-year period, is now seeking a Director to support the members to deliver
the strategic plan.
Based at one of the Film Access Scotland partner???s offices in Glasgow, Edinburgh or Aberdeen, with some travelling across Scotland, you will manage a small team to oversee the growth and promotion of the Film Access Scotland membership.
You will be passionate and committed to representing the Film Access Scotland members at strategic level, ensuring the Film Access sector is recognised as key to increasing the equality, diversity and inclusion of the screen arts in Scotland. You will be an ambassador for the work of the sector at grass roots and policy level.
This is a part time (3 or 4 days per week), fixed term contract for 2 years with the possibility of a new contract beyond this period. Film Access Scotland has a budget of ??36,000 per annum for this role. The hours and location are negotiable for the right candidate.
