Govan Community Project is a community based organisation working in the south of Glasgow. Originally a response of community and church members to the needs of newly arrived asylum seekers, we have developed over the years to become a local charity working with and for all the diverse communities of the Greater Govan area and beyond.
They are looking to recruit a new Chair to join their Board of Trustees. The role of Chair is important, carrying legal and financial responsibilities, which will require time and commitment. You will receive a thorough induction and be provided with ongoing training and support. As a trustee you will be using your personal skills, experiences and knowledge to give back to the community improving the lives of vulnerable families who are facing many challenges and barriers including poverty, isolation, destitution and discrimination. The new Chair will have ongoing training and support from the current Chair.
