Theatre Nemo is a small thriving charity based in central Glasgow that provides creative arts programmes for people suffering from mental health conditions. In the last 21 years since its formation Theatre Nemo has supported men, women and young people with mental health conditions through its projects in the community, hospitals, schools and prisons, and has indirectly contributed to an improved life for those individuals’ family and friends.
Theatre Nemo is seeking a relevantly experienced Chair for its Board of Directors. The post requires knowledge of the third sector and operation of charitable organisations and a broad understanding of the mental health sector in Scotland.
Role Summary
Theatre Nemo is seeking a Chair with a mental health and charity background to lead the Board. Theatre Nemo is currently embarked on a name and brand change process so particular skills in media, publicity and communications would be an advantage. The current Board has a Treasurer and a Vice Chair (who will undertake much of the sectretarial role for the new Chair). It also has expertise in Justice, NHS/HSCP, Mental Health, Third Sector Management, Social Media skills and Fundraising and Children and Young People.
