Macdonald Training CIC provide the delivery of Scotland's official 2 day accredited Mental Health First Aid Course that is approved by Public Health Scotland and the Scottish Government. They have arranged the delivery of two public courses that are available to organisations and individuals.
12th - 13th February | 9AM - 4:30PM
Gain guidance on being a Mental Health First Aider, learning about attitutes to mental health issues and an introduction to suicide prevention. The course will help you understand depression, anxiety and psychosis and how to offer first aid to someone experiencing these issues.
25th - 26th March | 9AM - 5PM
Learn how to recognize when someone may be thinking about suicide, and how to provide a skilled intervention and develop a safety plan with the person to connect them to further support.
Each course is £170 per person, and there is a 10% discount for GSEN members. Both workshops will be delivered at the Byres Community Hub, University of Glasgow.
