The Social Enterprise Census 2024 is the fifth comprehensive account of social enterprise activity in Scotland, following previous censuses in 2015, 2017, 2019, and 2021.

This study provides a detailed profile of the scale, reach, and contribution of social enterprises across the country, as well as insights into their characteristics, prospects, and needs. By capturing the evolving
landscape of the sector, this report highlights both the achievements of these organisations and
the challenges they face in an increasingly complex operating environment.
