Meet The Buyer 2026 | Scotland’s Largest Free Procurement Event

Tuesday 2nd June | 10AM - 3PM | DoubleTree by Hilton Glasgow Central

In June 2026, Scotland's National Meet the Buyer event will return for it's 17th year! This free event is hosted by the Supplier Development Programme, and partnered by Scottish Government.

This event gives you access to buyers, supply chain partners and decision makers, from organisations across the public and private sectors. You’ll have the chance to introduce your company, talk to key buyer contacts, and discover opportunities in their pipelines.

Meet the Buyer National is aimed towards helping Small Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs) from across Scotland meet buyers. However, all are welcome! Whether you are a micro, small or medium sized supplier, this event can help you get into public sector supply chains. You will meet buyers connected to public sector projects, who are looking for suppliers that enrich local economies and support Community Wealth Building.

What Are The Benefits of Attending?

  • Opportunities to network with procurement teams and buyers from across the public and private sectors.
  • A chance to pitch your business innovations to buyers.
  • Hearing speakers discuss their experiences, pipeline projects and upcoming contract opportunities.
  • Explanation of procurement jargon and buzzwords.
  • Top tips on how to bid via Public Contracts Scotland and PCS-Tender from SDP’s expert trainers.

Not sure if your business’ products and services have a place in public and private sector procurement? You may be able to provide peripheral products and services nearby - for example, MOTs, food and drink, cleaning services, security services, local B&Bs and grounds maintenance.

All suppliers are eligible to attend for free. However, you must register an account with SDP to book a place. Find out more here
