The Pride in Place Impact Fund

Up to £1.5 million each is available for local communities across Scotland through the Pride in Place programme.

The Pride in Place Impact Fund is a UK Government capital investment programme designed to support visible, community-focused improvements in towns and cities by March 2027. It aims to help rebuild community pride, strengthen neighbourhoods and support local revitalisation efforts across England, Scotland and Wales.

Purpose & Funding Available

  • Total Fund Value: Up to £150 million allocated nationally.
  • Allocation per Area: Up to £1.5 million for each selected local authority area.
  • Funding Type: 100% capital — meaning it must be spent on physical improvements, building works, enhancements or asset investments.
  • Spends Across: September 2025 to March 2027.

The Impact Fund has three core objectives — projects should fit one or more of these priorities:

  • Community Spaces - Create, extend, refurbish or improve community buildings and spaces, including support for local organisations to take over under-used assets.
  • Public Spaces - Enhance outdoor environments such as parks, play areas, public art, squares and shared community zones.
  • High Streets & Town Centres - Revitalise local high streets and commercial centres with improvements like storefront upgrades, streetscape work and spaces that encourage positive community activity.

There is flexibility - local authorities can invest across one or all objectives according to local need and potential impact.

All funded projects must align with at least one of the core objectives and deliver visible improvements that boost community pride and place quality.
