Amazon launches new Regional Creatives Fund: £30,000 grants available for creative industry careers

Amazon has launched the Regional Creatives Fund, offering grants of up to £30,000 to UK charities that develop creative industry career pathways. The fund aims to increase access to careers in creative industries for people from underserved communities, supporting programmes in publishing, music, gaming, film, TV, fashion, advertising, and more. This initiative aligns with the Department for Culture, Media and Sport’s recently announced Creative Places Growth Fund and aims to increase access to careers in the creative industries for people from underserved communities, including those across Scotland.

Key details for organisations interested in applying to the fund include:

  • Individual organisations can apply for up to £30,000
  • Consortium applications are available for up to £100,000
  • Eligible organisations must be registered UK charities with annual income below £5 million
  • Applicants must currently be running programmes that focus on upskilling people from underserved communities

Grants will be awarded by an independent judging panel that includes senior leaders from AmazonNational TheatreArts Council England, the House of Commons, West Yorkshire Combined AuthorityBAFTAHelp Musicians, and Music Minds Matter.

Beyond financial support, successful applicants will receive pro bono support from Amazon's creative industry professionals, including mentoring, work experience, placement opportunities, and digital training from Amazon Music, Prime Video, and Amazon Games.
