The Ard - Student Accommodation Development

The opportunity to establish a GSEN office within the proposed Ard Student Accommodation Development has generated a range of views among our board. While concerns about the scale of the development are acknowledged, it’s clear that the ongoing housing crisis in the city needs creative solutions, and there’s no doubt that the offer would provide us with a tremendous platform from which to engage with students in their own space, and promote the ideas and values of social enterprise to a new generation.

At this stage, with the development still going through the planning process, no final agreement on the offer has been reached, so the matter is still very much open to discussion, and we’d welcome input from any GSEN members who’d like to share their views.
