The Community Renewable Energy Framework: Opportunities for Renewable Energy Projects

Glasgow City Council recently launched its Community Renewable Energy Framework (CREF). The framework will see land in Milton and Easterhouse being made available for renewable energy projects.

Next Steps:

The window for Pre-Application Form submissions is now open. Please submit your completed form to communityenergy@glasgow.gov.uk. The deadline for submitting your Pre-Application is Thursday 28 August. Find access to the Pre-Application Forms and Guidance here.

If you have any questions or would like to discuss your proposals with Glasgow City Council, you can join one of the following in-person workshops in Milton and Easterhouse:

  • Blairtummock Housing Association, Tuesday 29 July, 17:00-18:30
  • LoveMilton, Thursday 31 July, 12:00-13:30

Advance sign-up isn’t necessary – you can simply join on the day.

They are also holding an online drop-in session for those unable to attend the workshops:

  • Online Drop-In Session, Wednesday 30 July, 12:00-14:00, sign up here.
