SPT Community Path Fund Open for Applications

Applications close 12pm Wednesday, 12 August.

Walking Scotland is inviting community organisations across the Strathclyde Partnership for Transport (SPT) region to apply for funding to improve local walking and wheeling routes. Grants of up to £10,000 are available to support small capital projects that make paths more accessible, connected and welcoming for local communities.

Funding can be used to create new paths or improve existing routes through measures such as removing barriers, installing seating, improving signage and planting greenery to support wildlife. The fund is open to constituted community organisations, including charities, educational establishments, community councils and national park authorities.

Walking Scotland is particularly keen to hear from community-led projects and organisations that have not previously received funding through the programme.
