Scottish Book Trust are working to engage with communities across Scotland with opportunities to engage in the wide and meaningful benefits of reading and writing. Throughout the year they are brining authors to communities and distributing Scotland’s Stories, a free book written by the public, delivering book week Scotland; advocating for libraries and distributing books via community spaces.

Book Week Scotland 2026 will take place from Monday, November 16 to Sunday, November 22, 2026.
The nationwide celebration features hundreds of free in-person and digital events, including author talks, book fairs, and community reading sessions across the country.
