Protests and Suffragettes July Patreon Gathering

GSEN member Protests and Suffragettes is inviting supporters to join its next monthly Patreon Gathering!

The event will feature author Margie Ferguson, whose new book Stranraer Suffragist Storms Scotland explores the life and activism of suffragist lecturer Jane Taylour.

The online event will offer an opportunity to hear more about Taylour's contribution to Scotland's women's movement and discuss the stories and individuals who helped shape campaigns for social change. For the first time, the Gathering will also be open to non-members through a one-off donation, giving new audiences the chance to take part.

Since launching in December, the monthly Patreon Gatherings have brought together supporters, activists and local history enthusiasts to explore stories of protest, community action and social justice. Previous sessions have featured guests including Ren Clark, who shared the history of Kinning Park Complex and the community campaign that helped secure its future.

Supporters can join the Protests and Suffragettes Patreon as a Community Champion for £5 per month, helping to support the organisation's work while gaining access to future Gatherings and exclusive member content.
