Outdoor Community Play Main Grants – Apply by 10 October

Registered charities have until 12 noon on Thursday 10 October 2025 to apply for the latest round of Outdoor Community Play Main Grants, delivered by Inspiring Scotland.

Grants of up to £20,000 are available to support free, child-led outdoor play projects that improve children’s health and wellbeing. Projects must be delivered between 1 April 2026 and 31 March 2028.

To be eligible, charities must operate in areas within the top 20% of the Scottish Index of Multiple Deprivation (SIMD).

Eligible costs include:

• Staffing for play sessions

• Equipment (including outdoor clothing and shelters)

• Materials and resources

• Food and snacks provided during sessions

This funding is designed to empower communities to create safe, inclusive outdoor play opportunities where children can thrive.
