Metal for Good Opens 2026 Funding Rounds for Community Music Projects

Metal for Good is inviting Expressions of Interest from community groups and projects that use music and the values of the rock and metal community to promote social equality and wellbeing.

The organisation runs two funding rounds each year, with the 2026 Expression of Interest (EOI) windows taking place 2 - 16 February and 24 August - 7 September.

The current Spring round is now open, with EOIs accepted until 5pm on 16 February 2026.

The EOI stage uses a short online form designed to reduce application time. Successful applicants will be shortlisted and invited to submit a full application, which is then reviewed by the grants committee. Final funding decisions are made based on committee assessment and supporter input.

Up to six projects will be funded per round, with awards of £3,000 (1 project), £2,000 (2 projects), and £1,000 (3 projects).
