Mental Health FIrst Aid Training | GSEN Member DIscount

MacDonald Training deliver Scotland's official 2 day accredited Mental Health First Aid Course that is approved by Public Health Scotland and the Scottish Government. They currently have some upcoming sessions available from August to November.

The knowledge presented and understanding developed in the course helps to remove stigma and fear and to give confidence in approaching a person in distress. 

The Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training Course covers how to recognize when someone may be thinking about suicide, and how to provide a skilled intervention and develop a safety plan with the person to connect them to further support.

• Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) | 24 - 25 September
• Scotlands Mental Health First Aid (SMHFA) | 26 - 27 October
• Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) | 26 - 27 November

The sessions will take place at Byres Community Hub, 90 Byres Road, University of Glasgow. 

The course costs £175pp. GSEN members can avail of a 10% discount.
