30 years ago, Kinning Park Complex was threatened with closure by the council until a group of young women and mothers stood up and demanded it be put into community hands. They occupied the building 24/7 for 55 days straight, leading to a victorious community buyout.

Kinning Park Complex are celebrating this incredible piece of Glaswegian activist history with 55 days of events, activities and shared heritage. From crafting to history walks, sports activities to film screenings, there is something for everyone!
