Help shape the future of Glasgow’s social enterprise sector by joining the GSEN Board of Trustees. GSEN is a dynamic, growing and member-led network, working to support our members, strengthen the social enterprise community and ensure the sector’s voice is heard.

We are particularly keen to receive applications from staff and trustees of GSEN member organisations, as we want our Board to remain rooted in the experience, priorities and ambitions of our membership, whilst reflecting the breadth and diversity within it. GSEN aims for at least 70% of its trustees to come from member organisations, while also welcoming applications from other people who share our values and passion for social enterprise.

As a trustee, you will bring ideas, insight and constructive challenge to GSEN’s work, helping us support our members and create an environment in which social enterprises can grow, innovate and flourish. Previous Board experience is not essential: we welcome people from a wide range of personal and professional backgrounds and are especially keen to hear from those who can bring different perspectives and lived experience.

The voluntary role involves an average commitment of around four to five hours per month and offers opportunities to develop leadership and governance skills, broaden your network and contribute directly to the future of social enterprise in Glasgow. Applications can be made by CV and a one-page note of interest, a short video or audio submission.
