With a further roll back in LGBTQ+ rights and budget cuts across the third and public sector, Proud Futures' consultancy work that helps fund their other projects has been severely impacted, along with a rise in running costs and a reduction in funding.
16 incredible people are about to embark on their LGBTQ+ Changemaker journey in March and Proud Futures are fundraising £5,000 to ensure the programme is accessible for participants which includes things like travel, accommodation (where needed), food and drink, course materials, speakers costs, anti-racism training and additional support where needed.
They have already secured some funding, but with rising costs, they just need an additional £5,000 more to make sure it is as amazing as it was last year and has the positive impact. As a result, they have decided to reach out to the community for support.
Proud Futures' first ever GoFundMe appeal is now live!
For the next 3 weeks, they will be fundraising the £5,000 they need to deliver the 2026 LGBTQ+ Changemaker and Leadership Programme.
Other ways you can support are by liking and sharing their fundraiser on LinkedIn and Instagram and engaging with their posts to increase visibility.
