Since it was established, Chattersense has expanded to offer a larger sensory motor gym service. Operating as a small team with a growing waiting list, they recognised a need for stronger business skills to keep up with the demand for their support. Partnering with Mārama Consulting presented an opportunity to develop realistic cash flow projections and ensure sustainable progress—freeing them up to focus on what they do best: supporting children and their families.
Chattersense Founder, Sharon Craighead shared that working with David from Mārama allowed them to review their charity’s cash flow and future sustainability. This was an area of uncertainty and vulnerability for Sharon who found the process to be eye-opening and confronting but incredibly valuable and ultimately empowering.
Thanks to the support from Mārama, Chattersense are now operating under a new, operational plan that’s both achievable and sustainable. They feel confident for their future without the reliance on grant funding.
“This grant didn’t just help us with a consultant—it gave us the wake-up call we needed, the practical tools to change, and ultimately, it has safeguarded the future of our charity. I can’t thank GSEN enough. This support has made a genuine, tangible difference—not just to us as an organisation, but to the people we exist to help.” Sharon Craighead, Founder of Chattersense.
