Glasgow Climate Action Hub Rental Barriers Survey

The Climate Action Hub wants to hear from Glasgow-based voluntary groups/organisations who rent their premises and are facing barriers to taking environmentally friendly or sustainable actions.

Are you renting or leasing a building where any of the following apply?

  • You can’t control the heating or thermostats in the building.
  • You’re unable to make improvements to the premises that would make it more sustainable or improve energy efficiency.
  • You’re unsure which improvements your landlord is responsible for.
  • You are experiencing other energy or environmental issues with your building.

The Hub is already supporting several organisations who experience these challenges. Many of these groups struggle to engage landlords or move improvements forward.

By gathering more evidence about how widespread these issues are, Glasgow Climate Action Hub can advocate more effectively for practical, sector-wide solutions. Your experiences will strengthen the case for better practice around heating in buildings, which will create better spaces to work in and reduce energy waste.
