GCVS Workshop | How to make your organisation more attractive to funders

Tuesday 24th March | 10AM - 1PM | Online

Money Magnets - How to make your organisation more attractive to funders

During this session, attendees will discuss the types of information and characteristics donors, funders and sponsors are likely to consider when deciding whether or not to support your voluntary organisation. Using practical case studies and examples, you will explore key “money magnets” such as vision & mission, impact reports, strategic plans, organisational capacity, effectiveness, donor experience and external communications (including the fundraising ask).

By the end of this session you should be able to:

  • Consider whether your organisation is ready to attract more financial investment
  • Identify your main organisational strengths and those weaknesses that need development
  • Adopt an external viewpoint when talking about your work to potential funders
  • Communicate your work and mission more effectively
  • Know where to find further help

This session will be led by June Burgess, Funding Advice Officer at Glasgow Council for the Voluntary Sector. June has many years’ experience as a skilled fundraiser within several well-known Scottish charities and has a particular interest in all aspects of in-memory campaigns and legacy fundraising.

The workship is £90 per attendee.
