For their next network event, Glasgow Climate Action Hub have two insightful and engaging sessions lined up about reducing waste through repair, and how access to better public transport will help tackling climate change and social inequality. 

Better Buses Campaign

Get Glasgow Moving is a volunteer-led campaign demanding better public transport for everyone in the Greater Glasgow region. Find out how you can support the campaign to improve public transport and tackle climate change and social inequality in one go! Presented by both Paul Shaw and Susie Wood from Get Glasgow Moving. Come along to hear about the work they have done with the Better Buses for Strathclyde coalition to push for re-regulation of the bus networks, including the most recent campaign to use the proposed visitor levy revenue to fund better buses.

How to Set Up a Repair Café

Would you love to see a Repair Café in your community? These thriving community repair projects are increasingly popular across Scotland. This session will explore what it’s like to run a Repair Café, the practical steps involved in setting one up, and the support available to help new projects get off the ground. Presented jointly by Jane Owens from Circular Communities Scotland and Lauren Hooper from Repair Café Glasgow who will share useful insights and advice about building a welcoming repair project in your local area.

The sessions above will finish at 12 and then lunch will be provided. Attendees are invited to stay and catch up with colleagues over food.
