'Exiled for Existing' Media Co-op’s new film, co-produced with LGBTQ refugees and asylum-seekers.

“Why did we come here? Because in our own countries, queer people like me, we have no choice. It’s either jail or death” says Zain, one of the new film-makers, a gay man from Pakistan.

“Exiled for Existing” is the new film by lesbian and gay refugees about living in danger for existing and finding safety in exile. Bring your pals and show your solidarity by coming to their upcoming screening of the documentary short at Kelvingrove on Wednesday 15 July!

The community film was produced by media co-op, in partnership with LGBT Unity Glasgow and the National Library of Scotland, funded by the National Lottery Scotland.
