Creative Scotland | The Strengthening Youth Music Fund

The Strengthening Youth Music Fund supports freelance individuals and organisations working in the youth music sector to deliver activities that will improve, develop and strengthen the sector, and the services offered to benefit children and young people across the country.   

The fund is open to freelancers and constituted organisations based in Scotland who are working to develop Scotland's youth music sector for the benefit of children and young people. 

Creative Scotland administers the Scottish Government’s Youth Music Initiative (YMI) programme which aims to:

• Create access to high-quality music-making opportunities for children and young people, particularly for those that would not normally have the chance to participate
• Enable children and young people to achieve their potential in or through music making
• Support the development of the youth music sector for the benefit of children and young people

You can request between £1,000 and £20,000 (excluding any personal access costs) for up to 12 months of activity.
