Creating Hope with Peer Support in Glasgow

An upcoming event in Glasgow will bring together individuals and organisations from across Greater Glasgow to explore the vital role of lived experience and community-based peer support in suicide prevention.

📅 Date: Monday 21 October 2025
🕙 Time: 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM
📍 Venue: Calton Heritage & Learning Centre, Glasgow

Creating Hope with Peer Support is a free learning and networking session open to anyone interested in how peer support can make a difference for people affected by suicide. The event will provide space to share experiences, connect across sectors, and reflect on what meaningful support looks like — both now and in the future.

The session is co-hosted by:

  • Scottish Recovery Network

  • Suicide Prevention Partnership Group

  • Mental Health Network Greater Glasgow

The event will offer:

  • Insights into the impact of community-based peer support

  • Opportunities to connect with others working in or affected by suicide prevention

  • Group discussions around current practice and future improvements

Refreshments will be provided, and a quiet space will be available for attendees who may need a break during the session.
