CICs Connect | Networking Event for SES Members

Thursday 4th June | 12 - 1PM | Online

Running a Community Interest Company comes with its own set of challenges - and opportunities. This informal, collaborative session from Social Enterprise Scotland is designed to bring their CIC members together to share honest experiences, practical insights, and useful connections.

The session will start with guest speakers from Social Enterprises who’ve been through the highs, lows, and everything in between of running a CIC. They’ll share candid reflections on what’s worked, what hasn’t, and what they wish they’d known earlier.

From there, the floor is open to attendees to exchange ideas, swap resources, and explore solutions to some of the barriers CICs face - whether that’s the level of awareness and understanding of the legal structure, funding, governance or anything else.

While open to all members, this session will be especially valuable for those running (or considering) a CIC, offering:

  • Practical insights grounded in real experience
  • Peer support from others navigating similar challenges
  • Useful tools and contacts you can take away and apply
  • A chance to be part of a solutions-focused conversation, not just a discussion of problems

Come along for an honest, energising session allowing supportive conversations and knowledge exchange – alongside network building.

Book your spot here.
