Join Community Land Scotland for a study visit to Glasgow-based community land owners Rosemount Development Trust and Spire View Housing Association and learn from their experiences of acquiring and managing land and buildings for the benefit of their communities.
Both organisations have been operating in the Royston area of Glasgow for the past 30 years and have contributed to the regeneration of the area. Spire View's new Community Hub opened its doors during Community Land Week and there are many exciting uses for the facility by local groups and service providers. Rosemount Development Trust has been running Rosemount Business Park which is the base of a number of different business and has resulted in more local jobs and opportunities.
This visit is open to community groups and organisations who own or aspire to own urban land/buildings and who would benefit from more insight into community ownership through meeting the above organisations.
