Connect Community Trust

Connect Community Trust was established in 2003 and since then has established and operate a wide range of services and activities within 4 community facilities and allotments in the Greater Easterhouse area of Glasgow. Services and activities within these facilities provide help, support, training, fun and social interaction for all ages in the community. Community empowerment is at the heart of the organisation, local people leading, participating and developing all of the services. Delivery includes sports activities, walking clubs, lunch clubs, job clubs and universal credit drop in, income advice service, youth clubs, community cafe, family groups, SQA accredited centre and training, social activities and community events (list not exhaustive) In addition, Connect launched a reuse and recycling operation within the East End, Reconnect Glasgow. Providing a focus on recycling and reuse of furniture and bulk household waste the operations also provide additional training, volunteering and work placement opportunities to local people.
