The Glasgow Social Enterprise Trade Show held on 10th December at the Briggait in Glasgow was the first Trade Show to be held by Glasgow Social Enterprise Network. The Trade Show brought together 30 exhibitors, 6 sponsors, an activity programme which included 3 launches and 6 showcase presentations from members, 6 social enterprise suppliers and 13 prizes!
The biggest ever gathering of Glasgow based social enterprises was important and significant giving some visibility to the broader membership as member meetings aren’t for everybody.
It’s a diverse network and this was never as evident as in this setting, karts, pants and business support and great rapping.
The People Make Glasgow Enterprising opportunity was a major step forward and great that the day offered an opportunity to launch this.
Launching SCRT and the British Council International trading report was interesting, the former will engage many social enterprises, the latter just a few but both contribute to the diversity of the sector.
Overall the feedback has indicated that the event was a success and we’d like to thank everyone who supported and invested in our event. With particular thanks to our sponsors, Lifelink, EVH, The Experience, British Council, Social Enterprise Scotland and Scottish Community Re:Investment Trust.
